Patent Approved

Updated: Mar 18, 2020

Patent Leather has emerged on the streets and runways in a major way. The trend initially made it's debut in the 1980's but re-emerged on the runway for Fall 2016. Most recently it has been spotted in various shapes and forms including jackets, trenches, boots, bags, pants and much more. Although I am not usually one who partakes in the trend worthy world because I believe that style is unique and all your own; I had to join in on this one. Patent Leather is bold and can instantly take any look from ordinary to high fashion.

Some may be intimidated by this trend, so if that is you keep it simple and start small. Take one patent leather piece and add it to your wardrobe and watch how it transforms your look. For a more daring and futuristic look add a few pieces; I felt like making a statement so I opted to pile it on. You can incorporate this trend into dressier looks with patent leather heels or a funky blouse or try for more casual, still eyecatching look. It doesn't matter which you choose, it is guaranteed that adding some patent leather to your look will result in an amazing ensemble.
