More than a third of people in the United States are obese, and many more are overweight. This puts millions of us at a heightened risk for conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. Loosing weight is not an easy task no matter which you route you choose. It all requires hard word and dedication but I figured why not make things a tad bit easier for you. There are many apps on the market to help people loose weight or maintain their weight. To get you started or assist you on your weight loss journey here are a few of my favorite apps in no particular order.
Waterlogged is an application that reminds you to drink your water. This will allow you to meet your daily water/liquid intake goals. I am obsessed with the water reminder that sounds off when you are behind schedule or it is time to take a swig.
Protein-Tracker is an application made to help you track your protein intake. It helps you to pay attention to your protein consumption per day, helps prevent injury's and keeps you on the track for a better lifestyle and stronger muscles.
Map My Walk
Map My Walk is an application that allows you to record GPS-based activities to view detailed stats as well as import and analyze all your work-out data in one place.
While there are additional features for people who have Fitbits, you don’t need a wearable device to use this app. Alone, the app is still able to track and record your workouts, log your food intake, and keep you motivated toward your goals. However with the device you are able to physically track and record, map your progress, record your sleep patterns amongst many other things. The best part of this app is being able to challenge friends and family that also have the device.
